Peter S Williams will be joining the Sheffield group on Wednesday 29th October to speak on Science, Scientism and the Knowledge of God.

Scientism is the idea that the only way to truth is through science. In this talk Peter will distinguish science from scientism and look at some of the questions that have emerged from modern cosmology. Peter will argue that God is the best answer to the metaphysical questions raised by science. The talk will be followed by an open Q&A session.

Peter S. Williams is a Christian philosopher and apologist Peter S. Williams (MA, MPhil) is an Assistant Professor in Communication and Worldviews at Gimlekollen School of Journalism and Communication, Norway. Peter also works with the UK Damaris Trust, leading philosophy conferences for A-level students and undertaking writing, speaking, debating and broadcasting engagements.

Peter has authored several books, including: A Faithful Guide to Philosophy: An Introduction to the Love of Wisdom, C.S. Lewis vs the New Atheists, Understanding Jesus: Five Ways to Spiritual Enlightenment and A Sceptic’s Guide to Atheism.
