Speaker: Dr Gavin Merrifield
Dr Gavin Merrifield will consider extraterrestrial intelligence, artificial intelligence and Christianity
Gavin has a background in physics originally, but has spent his career in biomedicine and biology. He has researched a broad range of topics ranging from brain imaging techniques to the hearts of spiders and zebrafish. Gavin has also actively been involved in science outreach especially in the area of science and Christianity. His particular interests are in the impact of future technologies and discoveries on both Christian theology and the life of the Church. He is a Trustee and committee member of the Science and Religion Forum.
