Christians in Science Birmingham (in conjunction with UB:ASH and Birmingham Council of Faiths) are hosting an interfaith event titled ‘Science and Religion: are we playing God?’, looking at the ethical issues surrounding bio technologies. The event will consist of short talks from specialist speakers and a panel-led discussion with representatives from most major world religions. This will be then followed by a Q&A session.

Speakers/Panellists include:

Prof Peymane Adab (Professor of Public Health, University of Birmingham)
Dr June Jones (Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Ethics, University of Birmingham)
Dr Naveed Syed (Public Health England)
Dr Pyara Singh Bhogal (Chairman of the Council of Sikh Gurdwaras, Birmingham)
