Christians In Science

CiS Magazine - Issue 1, Winter 2007: Science and Society

Welcome to the new Christians in Science online magazine! This is primarily a magazine written by students, for students, but we think that many other CiS members will appreciate it. This will be a quarterly publication, with a new theme for every issue.

Anyone can access this first issue for free, but for the next issue you will need your CiS membership code and password to access it, via our online membership system that is coming soon. More details to follow.

We have to thank a team of willing writers, mainly students, who came up with their own ideas, and submitted a great range of articles and reviews, as well as those who responded to some gentle arm twisting. We must also thank Maithrie White and Larissa Johnston, who helped with the editing.

We hope you enjoy it!

Ruth Bancewicz, Editor and Bekki Pearce, Assistant Editor

This issue's prize winning article
CiS is giving a £50 prize for the best student–written article in each issue. This issue's winner is Amy Unsworth, a PhD student from London, for her article Postmodernism – Post–Christian and Post–Science? Congratulations!

Thank you to CiS chair Prof John Bryant and freelance journalist Dr Pete Moore for judging. It was a close-run competition, and Amy wins on accumulated scores from both judges.

Writing
We'd love you to contribute to our next issue. Go to this page for details on how to contribute articles to the next issue. Non students are always welcome to contribute as guest authors.
