Christians in Science (www.cis.org.uk) is seeking to appoint a Development Officer who will expand and consolidate our work with students and local churches including resource development. In addition they will assist with the support of CiS local groups, conference organisation and representing CiS at festivals. The position will be full-time, although part-time (three days a week) will be considered for the right candidate. Please note that the ability to travel regularly within the UK is an essential part of the job. The successful candidate will have a background in science, knowledge and experience of the beliefs and culture of the mainstream Evangelical Christian churches, will have an interest in the interactions between science and faith, and must be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Christians in Science. The post would suit a recent science graduate or PhD. Funding will be for one year in the first instance and salary will be in the region of £27-29k p.a. (or pro rata) depending on qualifications and experience. Location is negotiable.
