About Us
Christians in Science (CiS) is an international network of those concerned with the relationship between science and Christian faith, open to scientists, teachers, students and all those with an interest in this dialogue.
CiS Ireland is one of nine local groups of Christians in Science, and brings together CiS members on the island of Ireland. We hold regular meetings, including the God and Science Lectures in various locations in Ireland and our meetings are open to all who have a genuine interest in science-faith issues. CiS Ireland is co-ordinated by an elected committee.
The journal Science and Christian Belief is sent to all CiS members in April and October each year. The newsletter PreCiS is sent several times during the year, and includes articles and information about forthcoming events, conferences, and publications.
Many articles and other resources are available on the resources section of the CiS website.
CiS holds an annual day conference each autumn, usually in London. A Northern day conference has been held in early spring since 2003. The conference "New Frontiers in Science and Faith", organised jointly with our US sister organisation the American Scientific Affiliation, was held in Edinburgh, 3-5 August 2007.
